Micah Torey “Monique” Parker is a Los Angeles based cultural and documentary photographer. Parker’s creative foundation stems from growing up in a Baptist family in the Midwest and his own personal religious journey as a Haitian Vodoun priest; black and queer. Parker’s creative direction, cultural aspirations, and artistic perspective is drawn from his time living in New York and Florida. Parker’s work in and out of the scope of photography lends itself to understanding inclusiveness, building community, and embracing the belonging — remaining seen and present.
